Meet Our Staff Members

Deidre graduated from Harlan High School in 2010. She has been at the Shelby Vet Clinic since February, 2014. In her free time, Deidre enjoys riding horses, spending time with their farm animals and anything that includes the outdoors. She currently resides in Earling, IA with her boyfriend Brad and their daughter Payton.

Kelly is a 2004 graduate of Riverside High School in Oakland. She lives outside Avoca and raises and trains performance quarter horses with her husband. She loves spending time with her horses and cats. 

Travis is a 2015 AHSTW graduate. He has been at the Shelby Vet Clinic since August 2015. Prior to working at the clinic, Travis worked on Doc Hansen's farm taking care of thoroughbreds. His interests include: fishing, camping and watching football. He currently resides in Avoca, IA. 

Al has been at the S.V.C. feed store in Minden, IA since May 2012. His interests include raising his small herd of Polled Herefords outside of Shelby, IA with his father-in-law. Al has lived in the Shelby area his whole life and currently lives 3 miles East of Shelby with his wife, Sara. They have 3 children: Nathan, Anna and Marshall.

Scott has been at the Shelby Vet Clinic since September 2018.  He has worked with cattle his whole life, mostly focusing on cow/calf production.  His interest include bowhunting, raising livestock and fishing.  Scott currently resides outside of Shelby.  He has three children: Cole, Lane, and Paige.

Laura has worked at the Shelby Vet Clinic since March of 2019.  She currently lives in Shelby with her fiance Marcus and son Nash.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family. 

Cole is a 2013 graduate of Riverside Highschool in Oakland, Iowa.  He currently lives outside Shelby with his daughter and son.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time outdoors.

Gabriella is a 2022 graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in animal science. She is passionate about animal care and has the goal of attending vet school in the future. She currently resides in Woodbine with her husband Colby. 

Hannah graduated Harlan High School in 2024.  She currently lives outside Earling.  She enjoys raising livestock, watching sports, and going to the lake.

Madison graduated from Denison highschool in 2021.  She currently lives in Ute, Iowa with her 3 dogs 5 cats and 4 rabbits.
